Scott Baroody's rendition of Sayles Mill is but one of many RSM kits he has done for his pike. Scott hails from the northern reaches of New York state and somehow finds time to do great renditions of many craftsman kits. Among many aspects of this display (including the photography) I really like his stone work, especially on the river retaining walls. I point this bit out because it is in contrast to what I suggest in my instructions (white mortar lines). Scott's walls have black or shadow lines at the mortar joints. That, in combination with his coloring is extremely effective and believable. This look is found as often in the Northeast as are white mortar lines
